About Me
I am a very upbeat, positive and lighthearted character and I adore working with children. I am able to establish great relationships with the children that I work with because I understand the importance of making them feel at ease and comfortable around unfamiliar people and to provide them with someone who is energetic and fun to be around! I have a passion for fitness and have experience of teaching a children's martial arts class. As such, I am keen to get children involved in physical activities if they too enjoy them. I am currently employed as a full time teacher but am looking for some extra work via babysitting/childcare.
My Experience
I have extensive experience of working with children and young people. I am currently working as a teacher within the EYFS with children aged between four and five years. I previously worked as a teaching assistant within a specialised Autistic provision and have also worked with children in various other care settings. These include a women's refuge and an adventure playground which catered for both neurotypical and special needs children. I also have babysitting experience and have looked after children of various ages.
My Qualifications
* PGCE- Primary school teacher
*Play ranger training
*Various safeguarding training qualifications including; Child protection, safeguarding young people, FGM awareness, Prevent training.
*First aid- My first aid certificate recently expired but I am confident in administrating first aid care. I am also trained in administrating an EPI pen and providing care for children with epilepsy in the event of an emergency (including providing medication e.g. Buccolam).
My Availability
I am available on weekends during term time/ weekdays and weekends during the school holidays.
