About Me
As a tutor with four years of experience teaching Maths and English to children from the ages of 5-16, I have taught students on a weekly basis, for cover slots and also for intensive everyday courses in preparation for different goals they had to achieve. I pride myself on providing a productive, safe and enjoyable environment for my students to work in and prosper, and previously they have gone on to receive top grades and have a strong grasp of the topics learnt.
In addition, I am committed to providing a learning space in which all types of students can learn based on their individual habits. Adaptability is one of my strongest and most important skills, and having taught children at all different stages and levels of education, I always consider the student when planning my lessons so they have a positive individual experience.
My Experience
Examples of the tasks I took on while tutoring are:
- Creating lesson plans using Google docs, PowerPoint, interactive whiteboards online and carefully selecting educational videos to support the students understanding of different topics.
- Marking work and providing productive feedback to encourage positive learning habits.
- Keeping the lesson space an organised, disciplined but enjoyable space so that the students can work
together and individually to fully take on the work at hand.
