About Me

Hello, We are looking for a Nanny to pick up Oscar, our 5 year old from school and Jack, our 2 (nearly 3) year old from nursery too and look after them until we come home from work at somewhere between 5 and 6pm.
Jack is generally very easy going and chatty. Oscar takes a bit longer to warm up, he’s not a big fan of change or new people but is very chatty and fun once he is comfortable. He was recently referred for an autism assessment (yet to be concluded).
As a family we enjoy nature and the outdoors and have just moved to a house after 5 years in a flat so we are really enjoying the trampoline and the garden! I work as a Macmillan Welfare Rights Advisor and Mick is a Carpenter.

We have never had a Nanny before but think it could be the perfect solution for us to allow us to get back to work full time. But equally because we think it would be great for the kids to make a bond with someone else and for all of us to share our family life a bit after such an isolated year
We are still working out whether it would be picking them both up at 3pm or possibly picking Jack up at 1pm and then Oscar at 3pm.
We are looking for someone who is Ofsted registered or willing to become so. We think the role would suit someone who enjoys having fun with the kids but also able to maintain boundaries with them and support Oscar with his emotions at times. Any experience of or interest in working with autism would also be great. Possibly doing some games around phonics or maths with Oscar if you can get him interested in it. We may be able to offer some ad hoc evening or weekend work at times too.
