About Me
I have over 10 years experience working in education and have worked with children from as young as nursery up to further education. I have a 2:1 BA Hons in Child and Youth Studies and a Primary PGCE with QTS in which I had a specialism in English. I abide by the quote by William Butlers in my philosophy of teaching, "Education is not the filling of a pail but the lightning of fire". Which is exactly what I aim to do with all of my students, ignite their passion for their education and spark that enjoyment for the subject. I believe in getting to know my students and gaining that rapport with them, I can then use their likes in our lessons together. I want to make learning fun and enjoyable, taking a subject that they may find boring and turning it into something exciting and interesting by using their own likes and interests in my planning. I currently cover all year groups in a local primary school, I am happy working with various year groups and ability levels and confident in differentiating.
