My Experience
Personally I have over ten years experience within early years, I began my training in childcare as a young parent and then developed onto volunteering within the local primary school and nursery. Prior to becoming a nursery practitioner in a private day nursery where I then progressed onto becoming a deputy room leader and then a room leader, until eventually I became a childminding assistant. I then chose to take a gap year to go to university studying counselling and social science enhancing my knowledge and skills in compassion and empathy for not only the children but for wrapping around our families and applying my skills to support the children, you and your whole family. At this point I set up Ohana Childcare as a childminder myself, which went on hold when I began fostering my niece and running a home while raising my own children. Due to property size we relocated to Burringham so we were able to offer even more to our amazing families, Every part of Ohana is built around our families but it didn't stop there, I have also undergone training in specialist areas of development learning and adapting techniques and skills within special educational needs and disabilities to challenging behaviors and specialist skills. To now am able to offer our services to the public knowing our setting is built from the foundations up on a breadth of knowledge and experience meaning we are able to meet all needs and run to the highest of standards.
