My Experience
I’m a 22-year-old with a strong passion for working with children. Growing up as one of the eldest in a large family, I naturally took on a caregiving role, often babysitting my younger cousins from an early age. This experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children of various ages.
In addition to my personal experience, I’ve worked professionally as a teaching assistant in primary schools, supporting children in Early Years through to Year 3. I thoroughly enjoy helping children learn, grow, and explore the world around them. My role in schools has strengthened my understanding of child development, classroom routines, and how to provide structured support tailored to individual needs.
I also have valuable experience caring for children with special educational needs. Both of my younger brothers are on the autism spectrum, and I’ve had the privilege of supporting them one-on-one over the years. This has given me first-hand insight into the importance of patience, communication, and consistency when caring for children with additional needs.
