About Me
Hi I'm Lori, im a level 3 qualified childminder, I registered in 1998 and was graded Good in 2021, im a mum of 4 grown up children, grandmother to 5 children. I've cared for over 100 children with many minded children returning as adults with their own children.
we are a fully covid vaccinated household.
I enjoy long walks with the children down the back lanes. to relax I like nights out with friends and family at bingo, the movies, or a night out catching up and long walks.
I started childminding in 1998 to help friends going back to work as I had 3 small children of my own i cared for their children who iv watched growing up into adult hood.
I was graded GOOD in my last Ofsted inspection on the 1st September 2021

I have over 33 years experience of caring for children. I hold a level 3 NVQ in child development.
I registered as a Childminder in 1998, although i cared for friends children 4 years before.
I keep up to date with ofsted training and government courses on an evening and weekend. I live in a bungalow down a quiet cul de sac with enclosed gardens to the front and rear with outside toys, play house's, swing's, slide's, trampoline's. mini beasts. sit and ride toy's, sand and water play etc.
We have a public play park at the top of the street. and go on nature walks down the back lanes to see the horses.
I've lived in my home with my Husband since moving from my home town of York in 1986. I am a mother of 4 children, 2 daughters and 2 sons of which my youngest son still lives at home.
I visit a toddler soft play area for combined play, to help children learn socialising skills.
My Experience
I have cared for children most of my life. Having a 15 year gap from my older sisters to a 6 year start on my younger sister. I was babysitting my nieces and family friends children from the age of 12, While I was at school in 1979 My work experience was in a York playschool. Where i was graded C in a National Association for Maternal and Child Welfare Exam.
My children were born close together in 1989 / 1991 / 1992 / 1996 which gave me plenty of experience caring for three children 3 years old and under.
I also at this time helped run a mother and toddler group in savil street Malton for 2 years, and worked at Rainbows Playgroup to cover staff holidays, illnesses when ever needed. (sadly its closed now)
I have cared for over 105 children in my years as a childminder watching them grow into teenagers and become parents of their own.
I can offer references from parents on request, as some parents are children I cared for or parents still with me after many years, sending siblings, grandchildren, and other family members.
I have also kept up to date with Ofsted learning by going on training courses run on an evening and weekends to help in the daily running of my care for the children.

I provide a 10am snack and drinks through the day free of charge.
