About Me
Hi, my name is Ciara and I am an Ofsted registered childminder.
I am a fun, loving and outgoing mum to one daughter who is 5.5 years old. I live in a great location in the Hollyfields estate, and just a short journey away from the centre of Tunbridge Wells. I also live within a stones throw of the new St Peter’s Primary School in Hawkenbury. My daughter will be starting in year one in September (2023).
I live in a ground floor property with my daughter, we have now been in Hawkenbury coming up for 3 years. Since having my daughter, I decided not to go back to my previous job working in an office, and instead used this time to find a career that fits around my daughter and I, which childminding allows me to do just that.
I pride myself on having a safe, clean and smoke-free home. Which I would hope any child who came into my setting would feel, it’s like a home away from home.
I am available for term time and partial school holidays. Before each school holiday, days of availability will be shared. Please bear in mind that some school holidays will be booked off.

I do also offer wraparound care at St. Peter’s CEP Primary in Hawkenbury. I offer a home from home environment, with healthy snacks and meals and lots of fun activities indoors and outdoors, including trips to the Hawkenbury Park and the local play area in Hollyfields after school for some fresh air and a runaround before coming in for a healthy snack and some indoor activities. Please enquire for availability.
My Experience
I have always been around children as I come from a very large Irish family. I am the second of 4 siblings. My Mother, who is also a registered childminder, is the youngest of 9 and just that in itself, has meant we are never far from small/young members of our family. Also, with having seen my Mother work as a childminder for over 17 years, I have seen first hand the experience of what that brings to being a childminder.
Throughout my teenage years and even up until the age of 27 before I had my daughter I was always providing babysitting to friends, and friends of the family, and even in some cases had parents recommend my babysitting services to their friends too.
Having my daughter gave me even more first hand, hands on experience with newborns - onwards, and this has provided a great platform of experience when I decided to pursue a career in childcare professionally. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and I think this will reflect on how happy children are in my care.

Enhanced DBS Check
First Aid Paediatric - refresher training completed January 2022
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award (Preparing to work in home based Childcare)

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
My fees start from £7.50 per hour (between 8am-6pm)
Fees will vary with hours before 8am/after 6pm*
