I am punctual, responsible and reliable person with great working ethic. I psychology graduate. I speak 2 languages including Portuguese and English and good understanding of Spanish. I enjoy being around children. I cannot get enough of their beautiful innocent personalities and honesty. They are so vulnerable, yet so brave. I think the most rewarding part about caring for children is fostering relationships with them and their families. I really cherish the moments where I can help families support a child's growth and become an integral part of their development.
My Experience
I have previously worked with children and I have acquired many useful skills. I have over 4 years of experience working with children. I have cared for children from ages 1-14 during evenings and occasionally overnight. Prepared meals and ensured children were fed, bathed, and put to bed. I am currently working as a teaching assistant which allowed me acquire different sets of skills. For example, as such I have support the teacher with behaviour and classroom management.
Support pupils with language development, social skills. As a phonics teacher I have the responsibility to help students with reading, spelling, and writing. In addition, I also resolve pupil conflicts and encourage taking responsibility for behaviour. I have the duty to observe pupils and monitor responses to learning activities, recording observations,
and relaying findings to the class teacher.
