My Summary

My Experience

Been babysitting for friends and family since I have been 16. I have been working professionally with Children from 18, firstly within a private day nursery where I supervised the toddler room where ages ranged from 18mths-3 years. After this role I was a teaching assistant for SEN children in a secondary school where I looked after children aged 11-16.

Now I have made the move from Belfast to Liverpool to pursue my dream of becoming a primary school teacher and have availability to carry out private care for families in the Liverpool area.

I believe I am very adaptable to each families individual childcare requirements and as a result, I trust that this will produce strong, successful relationships with both the children and parents I work for.

My Qualifications

I have 11 GCSE’s grades A*-C which were completed in the summer of 2017. I also have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care. This qualification allowed me to learn about all the life stages of development from birth to death and particularly focused on both the theory and practice of being a good carer, as well as what legislation runs parallel to that. This qualification is equal to 3 A levels and as a result I was awarded 3 A*’s at the end of my course, which I am very proud of and in turn, this course has given me access to employment in the childcare and education sectors.

I have completed a certificate in Child protection and Safeguarding. This qualification enabled me to learn about what dangers pose a threat to children and how best to protect them from that. It also included teachings about what legal obligations I have as a childcare worker to the children I care for, as well as highlighting that the child and their interests are paramount and central to my care plan for them. I have undergone several DBS enhanced checks for every childcare role I have worked in and have most recently completed one for my university studies to allow me to work with children in schools and nurseries.

My Availability

I am available Tuesdays and Wednesday throughout the week when attending university as well as the occasional weekend.

I am about to go on summer however, where I will have a lot more availability to take children short notice or more regularly look after them!

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour

I am not aware of an average hourly rate for childminders over here but basing it on what I charged for my private care back in Belfast, I would usually charge:
£11 p/h - one child
£13 p/h - two children
£16 p/h - three or more children

However, this can be discussed further if you feel negotiation needs to happen on these prices.
