About Me
Hello, I'm Melissa, and first and foremost, I am a parent. I am also an OFSTED registered childminder, who is ready to care for your little one.
People say I am a hard-working, calm, friendly, reliable and an organised person who is passionate about providing high quality childcare from my home.
The childhood years are the most important and fundamental for a child’s wellbeing and future success, so I know how important it is to provide a safe, stimulating, supportive and happy environment for children to thrive in.
In my care children are given the opportunity to grow, learn, and develop their independence skills. The activities and curriculum I provide is based on the Early Years Foundation stage and are all age appropriate to the individual child’s needs and interests.
I have a garden which also has a sheltered area so children are able to free-flow between indoors.
In the garden the children are invited to engage in lots of imaginary play, physical activities and exploring. I plan lots of outings including parks, farms, soft play, libraries and play groups. I provide 3 healthy, homemade meals and snacks which are included in my daily rate. I can cater to allergies, dietary and religious requirements that are flagged.
I am located near good transport links directly into Central London. The nearest train stations to me are Norwood Junction and Selhurst which are a 10 minute walk away.
My Experience
I have a BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care Learning and Development Level 3, I also hold a full UK driving licence and a full peadiatric first aid training qualification. I have a full enhanced DBS and DSL safeguarding training.
In my previous employment I was working as a Deputy Manager, SENCo & Designated Safeguarding Lead for a Pre-school. I have over 15 years experience in childcare as well as 11 years experience being a mummy to my eldest boy whilst welcoming my youngest boy 9 months ago.

Melissa stepped in to cover for my current childminder, for 2 weeks during summer holiday and I cannot recommend more.
Melissa is amazing person with loving heart and warm welcome not only to children but to their parents (I'm a living proof). Melissa cared for my 3.5yrs old daughter only for 2 weeks, but her care was so excellent that I was even considering switching for good.
My daughter is very sensitive, but Melissa handled her insecurities brilliantly. She had always prepped her setting for every day, structured play in the morning and free play and activities afternoon. Lots of outings as well, entertainment and learning hand in hand.
Melissa's setting is clean, tidy and cosy with sufficient outdoor space, however, Melissa took my daughter for outings, play dates, soft play, garden centre, and park so my daughter enjoyed variety of space and play.
Melissa also cooperate with other local childminders which helps get more kids together and socialise. As my daughter is quite shy, this was an excellent experience which I very much appreciated.
Melissa also prepares healthy meals, usually cooks dinner and in my daughters case also managed to squeeze in warm lunches, as that is something my daughter is used to.
Overall, Melissa is very cheerful, loving and caring person with great attention to children needs and provides an excellent service. We already miss her!

My daughter has been with Melissa since she 2022 and she has been amazing and supportive every step of the way. My daughter really enjoys the activities and play that Melissa offers and she’s great at understanding my daughter’s needs. Melissa is reliable and trustworthy and i would truly recommend her services!

We have visited a number of childminders before and after visiting Melissa and seeing how tidy and clean her home is and getting such a positive impression we chose her. Our son has been attending for almost a year and it has been the best experience. Melissa is a very caring, creative and bubbly person and our son has bonded very well with her and the other children.
Melissa has been very considerate with last minute emergency changes and we couldn’t have asked for a better childminder.
We would recommend Melissa to any parent who’s looking for an overall wonderful experience!

Melissa is trustworthy, an excellent communicator, flexable and is most of all a fun person.
I have not used childminding services before so I didn't know what to expect, however Melissa was very welcoming, cheerful and open minded when we came to visit her setting; which is very tidy and cosy. Mellisa works together with other local childminders so it's a great opportunity for the little ones to make more friends and go on trips. My daughter has really enjoyed her time there and even started to eat a larger variety of healthy foods. I recommend Melissa to anyone looking for childcare as she really did go anove and beyond, honestly a 10/10 experience.

Our daughter was 7 months when Melissa first cared for her and our experience was truly wonderful. Now at 10 months Melissa offers wide variety of activities and her home is very clean and welcoming. The communication has also been excellent which puts us at ease knowing she’s in safe hands.

Melissa is such a nice childminder, my children loved staying with her and she cared for them on a really short notice. Very responsible as well and provides great activities for children. All in all great service and warm lady. ❤️
