My Summary

My Experience

I am a highly qualified practitioner who has enjoyed teaching in early years and looking to transition into full time (4 days a week) nannying, bringing forward my expertise, experience, learning and theory based practice. I am also soon to become and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach so would be pleased to prepare nutrient dense meals, packed with nutrition for children in my care.

My teaching experience spans over nine years! I believe wholeheartedly and lead with play led education. This approach allows children not only the ability to make meaning of the world around them but also to learn through cause and effect.

I have been lucky enough to be a part of planning many child-centered activities in various schools and early year settings (which refers to providing activities based on the child's interest in order to propel their learning) as well as being able to observe how it impacts children's confidence, self-efficacy and general ability to take on tasks independently.

Key parts of my degree in Early Childhood was centered around seeing children as active learners in their environments rather than passive, which largely influences how I show up as a practitioner when caring for children. I pride myself on being able to provide engaging activities for children to learn through, as well as being emotionally present and nurturing in order to give language to their feelings and experiences.

During my dissertation, I investigated the link between literacy and language development and so I have a huge interest in language acquisition on a whole and enjoy experimenting with different ways of supporting children that are beginning their language journey, this also works brilliantly for children who are already very verbal as it can expand their speech and breath of language, I hope to speak soon!

• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
