My Experience

I have been working in childcare for over 20 years; supporting children's learning and development in all areas of the EYFS (Early years foundation stage). Part of my role involves supporting children with speech and language disorders, including EAL (English as an Additional Language). I have worked in close contact with Speech and Language Therapists and delivered programs and Education Plans created to support the identified needs of individual children. I also create and use my own strategies and resources based on my training, experience and knowledge of the children in my care. I deliver phonics lessons and support children on a one-to-one basis to develop and improve their literacy and maths skills. I am trained in Read Write Inc., Makaton and Colourful Semantics which I use to support the development of speech and the formation of comprehensible sentences.

I pay close attention to detail and strive to achieve a high standard in all I undertake. I possess a genuine care and concern for others and have a high expectation of children. I am committed to encouraging and helping them to be successful learners and fulfil their potential. My enthusiasm, imagination and creativity help to stimulate and motivate children to become actively involved in activities and planned lessons.

I am an experienced Nursery Nurse and Phonics tutor.

I am flexible and willing to negotiate days and times.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £50.00 per hour

SEND from £60 - £75 as per level of need.
