About Me
We live in Leatherhead in a lovely old property with lots of character which requires some modernisation - which we will be doing once our little girl is a bit older and less likely to spill things! The house has plenty of space, including a separate playroom and large back garden. We will both be working from home part of the week so are seeking a candidate who will feel part of the family and would be happy to join us for family meals etc when we are around. Our family loves the outdoors, cycling, reading, food and exploring different cultures.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a part time nanny to do wrap around care pre/post school and school holiday cover 3 days a week (exact days and timings to be discussed); starting asap for a 4 year old girl (who will start school this September but is already in preschool with similar hours to school); we are open to nanny share arrangements (e.g. if a candidate has their own child), and have space to accommodate another child in our home for the three days.
Pay would be subject to experience
The ideal candidate will be kind and compassionate, and be child-focused with a passion for early years childcare. They will be proactive and happy to take our daughter out to explore, join groups etc. A second language would be a plus but is not a requirement (Mandarin, Portuguese, Polish or French ideal, but we would be keen to hear from anyone speaking an additional language)
Key responsibilities would include:
- Providing a nurturing and stimulating environment in which our daughter can thrive;
- Shopping for, preparing and serving healthy food for home consumption, preschool and when needed out and about; we would be keen for you to involve our daughter in the cooking;
- Arranging play dates after (pre)school
- Engaging her in craft activities, messy play etc.
- Lots and lots snuggling up and reading books!
- Taking her outside frequently e.g. going for a walk, bike ride, playing in the garden, gardening, going to the park (type of activities would be based on what the candidate enjoys);
- Light housekeeping: keeping the play areas neat and tidy and doing our daughters laundry
