My Experience

Babysitting since November of 2015: Since the age of 15, so for the last 5 years I have babysat children from ages 1-10 years old. This has involved helping children do homework, playing games with them, feeding them dinner, giving them baths, changing nappies, reading bedtime stories and putting children to bed.
Assistant beaver leader since 2018: I was a young leader till I turned 18 and then I became an assistant leader. In this role I organised camps for the last 3 summers and various activities for children aged 6-8 to do at every session. I also helped them learn how to cook simple dishes like pasta, pizza and cookies. I also spent time with the more shy new members while they got used to the new place and people to ensure they settles in well and felt comfortable without their parents there. I also looked after children with autism and ADHD as well within this role.
Volunteering with HCPT to look after children with special needs during April of 2018: For a whole week I was responsible for the care of a 12 year old with severe special needs and assisting a group of children along with a group of adults during activities all week, including egg hunts, basketball, singing, walks and parachute games as well as personal care.
One week's work experience at St Peter's primary school (June 2017): Helping children on a more one to one basis with maths, English and reading while giving vocal and written feedback.
Part time nanny for a family of 2 children under the age of 7 (2021-23)
Caring for 2 children after school and nursery 3 days a week. Cooking dinner, doing homework, activities and the bedtime routine.
Secondary school Geography teacher (2022- present day)

My Qualifications

I have a DBS check as well as training to look after SEN children, with a focus on accessibility, autism, communication, handling and global development delay. I also am first aid qualified and have my teaching qualification certificate.

My Availability

I am free all evenings of the week, after 5pm. I am also available most weekends and during school holidays.
