Volunteer, ORBIT Shed
2009- 2011
ORBIT Shed (Our Reigate and Banstead Inclusive Theatre: Part of Chicken Shed) is an inclusive children's theatre group. I volunteered to help run the children’s theatre sessions once a week. I would organise hour-long sessions that involved games, warm-up exercises and activities children of all ages and abilities could participate in.
Volunteer, The Studio ADHD Centre Dorking
2014
A very small charity based in Dorking working towards more awareness for ADHD. The charity focuses on helping children who have been diagnosed with ADHD or ADD by teaching them how to cope with the disorder. My tasks included helping on days out (E.g. fishing days), taking notes, writing reports and typing up client updates.

Volunteered at Yippee and Yip4Youth, Youth clubs, weekend and school holiday scheme for 6-11 and 12-18-year-olds with disabilities and complex needs. My tasks involved aiding with a variety of inclusive play activities, sports, games, and days out.
Research Assistant, CCCU
Jan 2018 - May 2018 Toddlers and Touchscreens
I collected primary observational data from parent and child (12-36 months) interactions. I instructed them to complete a range of tasks both independently and together, using both touchscreen and traditional interactions.
Research Assistant, CCCU
May 2019 – August 2020 POWIOT (Playing Out with Internet of things)
The project's original goal was to investigate children’s outdoor play preferences and work with a team that developed a prototypical technology hypothesised to encourage outdoor play. I worked collecting primary data on outdoor play with groups of children aged 6-11 and coded and analysed the data in preparation for publication. Over lockdown, this project was adapted to collect data on how children’s play was affected by lockdown.
Teaching Assistant, Simply Education
September 2021 - December 2021
Gained valuable experience as a Teaching Assistant at an SEN School in a Year 10 class. I had the opportunity to support students with special educational needs, provide one-on-one guidance, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. I was able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, which was essential in promoting a safe and welcoming learning environment.
