Parents can be rest assured that whilst they are busy at work, there child is having a great time with me. I've had many families comment on how confident and happy there little one is whilst in my care and parents have seen such a positive change in there child.
Separating a young child from their parents requires trust and honesty. From day 1 both the parents and the child are assured that I am 100% trustworthy, honest and reliable. The childs emotional wellbeing is paramount!
A happy child = happy parents.
I suggest a paid settling in period before I take sole care of your child. Settling in period should be no less then 2 weeks. In this 2 weeks of settling in I will shadow the parents and get to know the family, the child and the routines. This 2 week settling in period also works well for the family and the child to get to know me too.
Settling in periods mean a smoother handing over when parents are back to work. The child will be familiar with me and will feel safe in my care as I've just spent 2 weeks with the family.
If the child does struggle with the separation from parents, I have activities and strategies to help reassure and guide the child through this transition.
I'm a very creative person and I often enjoy painting and creating things. I have always done this with my own children. We love being creative and letting our imaginations run wild. The possibilities are endless ? the messier the better too ? We are a very close family and enjoy our evenings and weekends together. We are always singing and dancing as a family. We also love reading stories together cuddled up on the sofa. We also enjoy days out as a family. We love walking through Epping forest. We have picnics, we go cinema, we go swimming, we love exploring different parks too. My children are my everything they make me proud every single day.
My Experience
I've worked in childcare for 21 years through various roles. I've worked as a babysitter ever since leaving school, I was a Nursery Nurse for 8 years in a primary school, a childcare practitioner for 4 years in a baby nursery, mothers help to triplets for 2 years, and I've brought my own 3 beautiful children up too.
I then began my journey as a private nanny. I've helped families get back into work whilst I care for their baby, making this transition stress free for both the baby and the parents. I've assisted families at events such as weddings and parties. I care for babies/children whilst parents can enjoy the event fully.
I have been an after school nanny where I care for children until their parents get home from work.
I'm NVQ3 qualified with 21 years of skills, knowledge & experience under my belt. I tell my families "childcare simply runs through my blood"
I've worked in many different settings over the years. I feel now, as a nanny, providing that extra special one on one care is where my heart lies. I wish I had made the jump to being a nanny years ago!
I have newborn experience. I enjoy working with babies & toddlers, as these early stages of life are crucial for learning & developing. A happy, healthy & balanced toddler will grow into a healthy, happy & balanced individual later in life. I am very patient, calm & creative. I love singing songs, reading stories and Children very often enjoy being in my company. I create this safe, fun "world" of fun and adventure. I bring stimulating activities along with me which focuses on helping children learn and develop. I try to bring a focused activity everyday I'm with your child. These activities will help your childs vocabulary, understanding, shapes, colours, predictions, mathematical language, sensory development, emotional development and so much more.
I find childcare a very rewarding role. It's more then just caring for a child for a day here & there. I always ensure each child has got the very best out of me. I strive for making children thrive. I plan creative and exciting activities for the children in my care ensuring the activities will help the children learn.
I also have experience working with older children too. I worked in a school setting for 8 years. I provided care to children of the ages of 4-10. I make learning fun & I encourage and support all children to get involved in the activities that I plan. If a child really did not want to take part then that's ok. I respect every childs wishes.
I also have experience with working with SEN children. The needs of the children have varied over the years such as, Autism, speech & language delay, ADHD, Anxiety, Global Development delay, behavioural disorders, sensory processing delay.
I will work with you to ensure your child is safe, happy & that all his/her needs are met. I will prepare nutritionally balanced meals & snacks throughout the day. I will attend to light housekeeping such as laundry for your child, tidying of child's toys & bedroom aswell as keeping the kitchen clean & tidy.
Your child is your pride & joy and my aim is to care for, teach & ensure your child is happy whilst you are away as I know as a mother if your child is happy & well cared for then you are happy & you can relax doing your job. Or just relax whilst out with friends for the day/evening.
My families that I currently work for have said to me "Krissie, your services are life changing"
This comment was from a mum who suffers with a long term illness. I helped her with her then 1 year old son since December 2021. I helped her with the day to day runnings of being a mum. We were a partnership and I ensured mum got plenty of rest when she needed it. I helped to lighten the load so she could be the best mum for her son and older daughter once I left the house and finished my shift.
Another family recently said "krissie is the best nanny we could ever dream of. Krissie is flexible in her approach and focused on connecting and creating the best environment for our then 1 & half yr old son. Krissie cared for our son for 6 months and she is an extension of our family. Our son loves her"
