Hello parents! I’m Alessandra, a 24 year-old Italian girl who loves spending time with kids!
In September I’m starting a master in CHILDREN, YOUTH AND INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT at Brunel university : my dream is working for UNICEF in order to help children all over the world who need it most and help mothers give their babies the best start in life.
I’m a really open-minded girl who is very happy to experiment and welcome everything that is different from my culture and habits. Also I love art, music and any kind of sports. I play the piano and in my free time I often go for an excursion in order to stay in contact with nature and animals. I think to have the abilities to work with children because I'm a patient, empathetic, trustworthy and funny person. I'm also an easy-going and positive person who adapts well to new people, places and situations.

My Experience
I have a lot of experience taking care of kids as I’ve been working with them for 7 years.
I worked as a music teacher in a Montessori international school in Italy where there were children who come from different countries and cultures: this has allowed me to spend time with little kids who have different habits and traditions from mine. My little students (from 1 to 10 years old) and I had a good time together: I helped them to develop their singing, listening, social and motor skills and their awareness of music through musical instruments and funny songs. I also taught the older children to play the piano as I have a degree in piano.
Last year I worked as an au pair in England and I had a lovely time with two little girls aged 2 and 4. I used to drop the 4 year old kid to the school and to pick her up, to play with them at the park or in the house with their games and to cook meals for them. I also used to go to some courses (music, dance, swimming pool) with the 2 year old girl and to change her nappy or take her to bed.
When I lived in Italy, I worked as a babysitter several times helping the children with their homework after school.
My Qualifications
I attended a musical Academy in Italy and I got a degree in piano.
At the same time, I got a degree at the university in international relations and now I’m specialising in working with ONG or international organizations who deals with children’s rights.
