My Summary

My Experience

Working in diverse school contexts through agencies has given me the opportunity to build a variety of transferable skills. I can effectively manage behaviour, carry out activities securely, and maintain a purposeful and supportive learning environment. Following the traffic light behaviour system, for example, as a teaching assistant, I have helped pupils to reflect on and display positive behaviour. I have previously worked with small groups of pupils in Year 2 on math (number sentences) and literacy projects (reading, writing and spelling). When supporting children I make every effort to adjust projects to their levels of understanding. I enjoy working with pupils and assisting them in developing self-esteem and confidence.

Studying Level 3 Childcare, has really aided me in creating a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the curriculum. This has aided my development by allowing me to delve deeper into child development theories and how contextual interaction effects behaviour. (Behaviour theory developed by John B Watson and B.F. Skinner)

I believe that education empowers children, and I work hard to help them develop a love of learning and the skills they need to be independent and lifelong learners. As a result, I intend to provide children with opportunities to reflect on their own progress through delivering dynamic and exciting activities.

In my current role as well as previous roles, I have showed excellent time management, organisation, attention to detail and multitasking skills, all of which have aided in my personal development. I am eager to learn and accept constructive feedback in order to better my performance. I am able to function under duress in a fast-paced setting and make rapid but effective decisions. I will contribute a good approach, innovation, and a willingness to collaborate with others to reach a common goal in addition to my skills.
