About Me

Hello! I’m Abbie, a warm, caring, and reliable 24-year-old nanny with a strong background in child development and education.

I hold a degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Birmingham, and I’ve spent the past five years working with children of all ages in a variety of settings — from nurseries and schools to private family homes. I also studied Health and Social Care, Psychology, and Sociology at college, giving me a well-rounded understanding of children’s emotional, physical, and social needs.

Being a nanny is more than just a job for me — it’s my passion. I genuinely love supporting children as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them. I’m fully trained in paediatric first aid through St John Ambulance, and I always prioritise creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

If you’re looking for someone dependable, experienced, and truly dedicated to your child’s wellbeing and development, I’d love to chat!

My Experience

SEPTEMBER 2022 & AUGUST 2024- PRESENT
Nanny Birmingham UK
Caring for two children at ages 10 months- 3 years. The family reached out for Nanning services when they were visiting the UK for work in September 2022. In August 2024 they moved to the UK permanently and I have been looking after their two young children since then. My role mainly revolves around the 12-month-old baby, being in sole charge of her during the day when her brother is at nursery. I often support both children when required.
MARCH – AUGUST 2024
Nanny Sydney Australia
Nannying for a 10-month-old baby whilst her parent started back at work after her maternity leave. I worked alongside her parents and assisted with integrating a new sleep schedule for her naps during the day and her sleep during the night. When the parents returned to work, I was in sole charge of the baby, taking her out during the day to baby groups and spending lots of time walking along the beach. I often assisted with the nighttime routine getting her bathed and into bed. On a daily basis I would create new and fresh meals and snacks for the baby to try whilstshe was exploring new foods.
OCTOBER 2022 – JANUARY 2024
Nanny Birmingham UK
Caring for three children between the ages of 5-11. I primarily worked mornings and afternoons/evenings getting the children up, ready and dropped off for school and picking them up in the afternoons. I helped the children complete any homework that was due, made dinner for them and their parents and got the children bathed and ready for bed. On the days it was required I also took the children to after-school activities. I also babysat on weekends when needed.
2021-2022 (VARYING TIME PERIODS)
Au Pairing for Three families Spain and Italy
Taking part in au pair exchange on three different occasions- twice in Spain and once in Italy. With my first family in Spain I cared for a one-year-old whilst his parents worked. With my second family in Spain I cared for three children aged 11 months, 2 years and 4 years old alongside their parents most of the time and sometimes being in sole charge whilst they worked. My family in Italy had a three-year-old who I looked after alongside her parents after she had finished school. All of my au pair roles have been a cultural exchange in which I communicate and play with the children in English so they are able to pick up the language in their home environment. My au pair experiences have been very valuable to me and have also given me experience ‘living in’ with a family.
2021
Nursery Nurse Birmingham UK
Supporting children in the ‘Babies 2’ room who were aged 1- 2 years alongside other staff members. Helping to organiseactivities for the children to support their cognitive development. I updated records, tracked observations and communicated daily with parents and carers.
2020
Volunteer SEN support Birmingham UK
Supported SEN students in learning life skills including cooking, social activities, and creative skills. I also had the opportunity to lead a session with a group of around 7 children.
