My Summary
About Me
I'm Elisa, I relocated in London almost ten years ago after live in Madrid and Rome.
I studied History of Art in the University at the same time that I worked with an NGO with social risk kids, in that moment started my interest in education so I took a course to be a teacher in a Secondary School in Spain a few years later.
After finishing the University in Salamanca, a beautiful city close to my home town I moved to Madrid where I cursed a degree in Antiquities and S.XX. I'm passionate about Art, History and Culture so I visit exhibitions, galleries, museums or Historical sites quite often. Traveling is an other passion, I love sunny destinations, London is great but the weather is not so good.
I like hiking in the British countryside and practice yoga, usually, twice a week but with the lockdown I changed a bit my routines and enjoy walk home after work.
As good spanish and enjoy food and cooking, something that I share with the childrens so we usually walk to the supermarket pick vegetables and fruit and we try new food and new recipes in our diet. Have a healthy and rich diet help me to keep the kids happy, safe and healthy.
My Experience
I was working as a nanny in a sole role charge for the last 12 years but I had previous experience working with kids in other areas as tutor and working in a Holiday Camp.
In the last six years I had a new born in the family so I'm quite familiar with all nursery duties, weaning process and early stimulation adjusting the different stage to every child and to every family. I'm a big fan of Montessori style and the Philadelphia education so I try to take the best of each school to find a balance between educational and free game to motivate and encourage every kid on their early years.
I like structure the week with activities, playdates and outside play, creating a regular routine for the kids. This uncertainty times cut a bit the options but there are still plenty of options to do with online classes, arts and craft, cooking or just walk in the park collecting stick, stones or leaves.
