My Experience

I am an OFSTED registered childminder that offers a quality child-led childminding service for children aged 0 months to 8 years.

I know the importance of finding the right childcare, as I have been there myself. I understand to leave your child in someone else's care is quite scary and overwhelming. So I offer a settling in period which can be as long as you need. This will give me the opportunity to build a relationship with you and your child and I will be able to create a environment which is based on your child's needs, ability and interests. I can provide you with references from the preschool I worked at for 7 years, and I can show you some lovely thank you cards I received. It is extremely important to me, to make sure you and your child feels, happy and safe in my home. I pride myself for my gentle, and caring nature.

I offer a welcoming, friendly, safe, and happy home from home environment. All of my resources are on low shelving, equipped with a selection of age-appropriate toys, loose parts and natural resources which are carefully selected to be open-ended, so children can choose activities to be used in many different ways. There are no forced, pre planned activities or outcomes, children can approach things themselves, to allow child-led learning to take place, both indoors and outdoors.

I am incredibly lucky to have a garden room dedicated to childminding, where the doors are open all year around, to allow free flow into my garden, where children can play in the nature kitchen, water, sand, or explore nature and minibeast in our bug hotel. We go on regular outings such as parks, farms, beaches, and canals, as well as the local playgroups and toddler groups

I have years of experience with in the moment planning which encourages children to follow their interests and learn through their play. I have had wonderful training from Anna Ephgrave and Greg Bottrill which has enabled me to be a confident practitioner who's passionate about child-led learning, in the moment planning, and the power of play to engage children, and to put them at the heart of their learning.

My Qualifications

We are working towards the Curiosity Approach Accreditation.
I gained my NVQ Level 2 & 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce during my time at my previous preschool.
Paediatric First Aid trained
Level 2 Safeguarding Children Awareness
PREVENT.

I also hold a wide range of job related training such as food hygiene, Effective Communication and Interaction, sensory processing therapy, anxiety and depression in children, emotional regulation, OCD intervention and autism awareness, ADHD, Sleep, as well as a host of others.
