My Experience

Since graduating with First Class Honours in 2008, I have worked right across the education spectrum. Amongst other things, I was a Teaching Fellow at the University of London (for which I was nominated for the Director’s Teaching Prize), provided out-of-school learning to excluded teenagers, and spent six years as a teaching assistant in three busy, high-performing London state schools. I have also worked extensively to support students with special educational needs, as well as those with English as an additional language. I have been a private tutor for more than a decade and am experienced in all levels from Key Stage One to University, helping children, teenagers and adults from many walks of life to grow in confidence and accomplish their educational goals.

- SOAS, University of London, 2008 — B.A. History, First Class Hons. Academic Awards: History Department Prize (2006 & 2007); Undergraduate Finalist of the Year (2008). Nominated for the 2008 Royal Historical Society's dissertation prize.

• Tutoring from £35.00 per hour

- Key Stages One - Three: £35/hour

- 11+ and Entrance Exams: £40/hour

- English as a Foreign Language and Adult Casual Learner: £35/hour

- GCSE, A Level and University: £40/hour

Prices quoted are for individual, in-person tuition at your home or other convenient location. I am based in New Malden and cover the surrounding area (Wimbledon and Kingston). An additional travel fee may be incurred for longer journeys.

If you are unemployed or on a low income, I may be able to offer a slot at a reduced rate.
