About Me
I am a communicative, organised and trustworthy woman in my mid 40s, with a wide range of experience in the fields of education, childcare, household help and mentoring.
I work as a personal assistant/mother's helper as well offering daytime childcare and evening babysitting, including assistance with homework/tuition as required. I also provide the full range of 'nanny-adjacent' tasks typical to a rural setting, including dog walking, home pet visits and pet sitting.
I am self-employed, so I have a good degree of flexibility. I often fill in the gaps for families through ad hoc work and being available when support is needed unexpectedly.
My Experience
I have worked as an educator in various settings, including running workshops for children, lecturing at a university and assisting at a forest kindergarten. I am also an experienced house & pet sitter, a dog walker. In my spare time I am a 'befriender' to young women in crisis through a charitable organisation.
Please note: I am a self-employed sole trader. I am not a registered childminder, and I don't have experience with children under the age of 3. I am open to children of any ages for 'hands off' evening babysitting, but my preferred age range for daytime childcare is 4+.
My Qualifications
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Full driving licence
- Advanced spoken Portuguese, basic Spanish & German.
My Availability
AVAILABILITY FROM JAN 2025:
My routine during the week varies because I work with two families whose needs fluctuate throughout the year, as well as doing ad hoc hours elsewhere.
I have space most frequently between 9.30am - 3pm Tues, Thurs & Fri, but please do get in touch and ask about any hours that you might need.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
£20 p/hr on weekdays. £22 p/hr at weekends.
For babysitting, my rate is £15 p/hr from 8pm (or earlier if the children are in bed sooner than this). I am always open to negotiating flat rates for evening babysits of reasonable duration, so please get in touch if you would like to discuss this.

Helena has been helping with our 4 year old for about 3 months and has developed a wonderful relationship with him. She is kind, gentle and intuitive to his needs. She is punctual, very organised and easy to communicate with and I would highly recommend her for any job!
