About Me
I have been a registered childminder since 01/12/21 with the South
Eastern Health & Social Care Trust to mind a maximum of 6 children under
12 including my own. Only 3 of these may be under compulsory school
age and usually only 1 child below one year old. There are some
exceptions, for example, twins. I am married and have 1 child aged 9. I am
a current member of NICMA - the Childminding Association which is the
professional membership body for registered childminders.
My Experience
My aim is to provide the highest quality of care for all children under my
supervision, to ensure children feel happy, content and secure at all times
and to ensure parents feel happy and reassured when leaving their
children in my care. I will create a warm, welcoming environment for
children and parents, provide a varied selection of age appropriate
activities and experiences and ensure access to toys for all children to
enjoy. I will treat all children equally as individuals and conduct my
childminding in accordance with the current policies and regulations.
My Qualifications
I have a Safeguarding & Child Protection policy and a Managing Children's
Behaviour policy which is shared and agreed with all parents during the
negotiation stages of the childminding arrangement. Any amendments to
this are shared as and when they happen. Copies of all of the Policies &
Procedures for my setting are kept in a folder at my home, rather than
issue individual policies each parent is encouraged to take this home with
them to read and agree before the Childminding arrangement begins,
However if parents wish to copy my Childminding Policies for their own
reference this is acceptable.
