Support Worker
The Fremantle Trust - Chesham November 2021 to June 2022.
An experienced and qualified disability support worker with excellent communication skills and a caring and patient personality. Reliable, well organised, punctual, a team player who is also able to work on own initiative. Supports clients to live as independently as possible by implementing effective programmes to help develop skills and abilities that allow them to participate in their local community. Comfortable working in one-to-one-situations with people of varying levels of disability and all ages. Seeking a role with a quality support provider where I can continue to help people reach their potential and lead fulfilled lives.
Some of the things I have to do as a Support worker includes :
• Answering phone calls from potential new residents, families, other companies, meds companies, equipment companies etc
• Support with personal care, prep for the day and for the evening.
• Provide support for medication at certain times of the day.
• Covid cleaning 3 times a day to insure all residents are safe from covid. • Taking residents out in public for 1-1 days and PA days.
• Support with all finances.

At Jojo Maman Bèbè we try to make sure the customers buy the perfect gifts and products while maternal and for children.
This job involves lots of communication skills, being able to ask the right questions and being able to cater to the customers needs.
Its such a friendly environment and the people i work with are amazing.
We have targets set most months to help us reach goals and help the company grow.
We have no hierarchy which is the main reason i wanted to work here.
The role involves doing delivery, stock take, serving customers, customer service, cleaning and lots of knowledge.

My favourite part about working at Jojo is meeting new people and families everyday, I love our regulars and new customers. It's amazing how much of a bond you can form with the children and finding out about them and their interests!

Brownie Helper
2016-2019 (term time)

Voluntary helper as my Aunt and Nan were the Guide and Brownie leaders so I used to go and help out every Tuesday.

Brownies start from the age of 7 - 11 and we offered training and support to help the children become more responsible and independent.

Some of the training and support we would facilitate -

? Provide a safe environment where young girls can discover their full potential.
? Provide ongoing leadership and support.
? Encourage and support the children with decision making and exploring situations.
? Making friends and having fun!
? The most exciting thing about being a brownie helper was seeing the girls growing confidence and learning new things.
? The hardest thing about being a brownie helper was, the role could be quite challenging, as most childcare roles can. Seeing the girls turn into teenagers was demanding as their moods would change, and they could be challenging to work with at times!
? I learnt how to deal with the girls by getting to know them well and understanding how their brains work.

My mum worked at the nursery for a long time, until she had my little brother who is now 2 years old and so I used to go and help every term and on my days off from school.
