My Experience
I have been lucky enough to work in healthcare roles across both the physical and mental health sectors of the NHS. I have developed a strong ability to handle stressful/busy situations and honed my skills in prioritising and organising. I currently work in a specialist NHS team that supports young people with ADHD and/or Autism, who also have mental health difficulties.
As part of my role , I have completed training in First Aid, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (For Children). Throughout my career I have developed and refined a range of useful skills, including patience, communication, problem-solving and a range of techniques to help engage children when they may be reluctant to do so.
