My Experience
I worked in a nursery (where I got my qualifications) for around 4 years.
I then changed my career and decided to become a nanny.
Sept 2018- Sept 2019
I looked after a 1 year old little girl and her older brother who attended school, I attended lots of playgroups and made sure she was always involved in fun stimulating activities outdoors and indoors. I did school pick ups for her older brother and after school care. Within this role we had another family join us in a nanny share, another little girl joined us who was also 1 years old. Our routine stayed the same, we still attended groups and did the school runs. I did pick up and drop off for the little girl who joined our nanny set up.
September 2019-December 2019
I looked after a 2 year old little girl and her older brother who attended school. I also helped mum with her newborn baby on the odd occasions, mum was on maternity leave so I was there as extra help. I used my car to go school pick ups and drop offs. I attended playgroups and set up activities to do in their home. I cooked fresh meals for their lunches and dinners.
January 2020-May 2020
I looked after 3 children. 1 year old, 4 year old and 6 year old. Each morning I used my car to drop the older children to school (they attended separate schools) I looked after the 1 year old boy during the day following his daily routine. Once I had picked up the older two they had a set routine with homework, after school classes, piano lessons etc that I made sure I stuck too. I cooked fresh meals and occasional cleaning.
May 2020-September 2020
Covid happened, I was furloughed until my next position started.
September 2020-August 2021
I started a nanny share between two families. The first family had a 1 year old girl and an older brother who attended nursery. The second family had a 1 year old girl. We had a set up where we used both houses during the week so each child was able to have the comfort of their own home. We attended playgroups and did lots of fun activities. I cooked fresh lunches and dinners each day for the children. I then fell pregnant and left to start my maternity leave.

Gemma worked with us for three months when I had my third child. She was a vital part of our family life driving my eldest to school and looking after my 2 year old while I had the baby. Gemma arranged play dates, had a fantastic group of local Nanny friends that my 2 year old got to know in a short time and loved to play with. She arranged fantastic, engaging and appropriate activities and would be an asset to any family looking to employ her.

Thanks so much! Hope you are well ☺️
Gemma worked for us for 11 months as part of a nanny share looking after our 1 year old and occasionally doing the nursery drop off or collection for our 4 year old.
From the start, Gemma was very confident about the role and knew how to support our daughter with settling in to the new routines. She formed good relationships with both of my children and regularly planned outings for them or creative activities to do at home. During the day, she would take my daughter to baby groups, soft play or to the park. She enjoys taking them out and about every day and so did my little one. Gemma prepared fresh meals and gave us a weekly menu in advance. She kept us regularly updated with how my children are, what they are up to and communicated this well.
Gemma worked for us 11 months as part of a nanny share, looking after our 1 year old daughter.
Gemma developed a positive relationship with our daughter who was always happy to see her in the morning. Gemma was punctual and flexible during the time we employed her which was a great help.
Gemma assisted us with getting our daughter into a good nap routine and with helping her to get to sleep independently which we were very grateful for!
She engaged the children in activities such as arts and crafts. She took them to several groups and on many fun outings for example music groups, soft play, the zoo and water parks. Gemma provided daily meals and communicated the weekly menus with us so we were able to plan ahead which was helpful. She communicated well throughout her employment and sent regular photo updates during the day.
I was confident that my daughter would be well looked after when she was with Gemma and she clearly enjoyed being with her.
Gemma looked after my two children, then aged 1 and 6 for over a year, both on their own and as part of a nanny share.
She developed a close relationship with them both, was always coming up with fun activities and trips and introduced them to new friends through her network of nannies.
When my daughter was small she helped her adjust to being away from me and was great at easing her into a routine with naps etc. I always knew the children would be safe and happy, well looked after, that they would have her full attention at all times and would not get bored.
I would recommend her and still ask her to help with ad hoc childcare.
