Hi, I'm Ammarah! I would be honoured to begin work as a gentle, conscious, values-driven nanny/babysitter for your family :)
I've recently been travelling (Mexico, Bali, Portugal, Spain) while working a remote internship, and during this period of adventure and introspection I've realised I feel a deep calling to connect with and nurture my femininity.
I had a beautiful experience meeting and bonding with my 5 month old niece this October, who I spent 3 weeks with in Barcelona and helped care for daily. The experience has really made me feel stronger than ever that caring for children is infinitely rewarding to me, and something I want to do much more of during this phase in my life.
I am fully certified in Paediatric First Aid with the British Red Cross, hold a clean DBS check and am qualified to register as an Ofsted-registered nanny.

My Experience
I have experience in childcare from both my professional and personal life.
Professionally, I've enjoyed work experience placements as a Nursery Assistant (ages 2-4) and as a Teaching Assistant (Infant and Primary School, ages 4-10). I have also been employed as an After-School Nanny in London (ages 9-13).
Personally, I have years of experience playing with younger cousins, from when they were toddlers through to teens, and most recently I have extensive experience babysitting my 4-5 month old niece over the past few months (Sep-Oct).
Below I'll add a few examples of my responsibilities from each of these work experiences - however please do let me know if you'd like to arrange a call and/or see my full CV for more details!
Nursery/Infant School
- Supporting the children’s classwork and playground activities through engagement and supervision, e.g. 1-1 reading sessions, fantasy role-play games, art activities, outdoor play, trips to toilet, sorting snacks during lunch time, etc.
After-School Nanny
- Safeguarding the children on the journey home from school, cooking & enjoying dinner together, bonding through games and fun conversations at home, caring for the family dogs, washing up before end of shift.
Babysitting 4-5 month Old Niece
- Successfully learning her daily routine and stepping in to support during both awake/play-time sessions and occasional soothing/sleep sessions. Supporting parents with tasks such as daily walks, changing clothes, nappies, babysitting during sleep sessions while parents are out, etc.
All of these experiences have been a true pleasure for me, and I've always come back with more energy and a greater sense of oneness - it's truly been rewarding & I'm so grateful to have had these opportunities!
