About Me
I am a creative, reliable nanny with experience working in education, part-time nannying and babysitting.
I am very passionate about art, I believe all children should have the opportunity to express their creativity both at school and at home. I have studied Art full-time since 2018 and can use the practical skills I have learned to teach children and help them gain new skills and interests.
I play lacrosse for Stockport county club, I also coached boys in sports 4 times a week while at Westminster Under School. Sports are so important for children, and I love seeing the enthusiasm that it inspires and the bonds team sports can bring - as well as learning spatial awareness and coordination.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature. I would love to be able to encourage children to experience wildlife and the beautiful natural environments outside of Central Manchester, so they can see how fascinating and important it is.
My Experience
I have been a part-time nanny for the past 6 months to three children under nine. My responsibilities include sole childcare, cooking for the children, doing school pickups and keeping them entertained and busy after school.
I also provide cover staff for Manchester Montessori House Nursery, working with children from ages 2 to 7, implementing Montessori techniques to teach children practical life skills through play. I like implementing these techniques in a more casual setting with the children I nanny.
During the school holidays, I work with We Are Adventurers forestry school summer camp. This includes supporting children through free play in the forest and teaching the basics of shelter building, fire making and playing large scale games.
I worked at Westminster Under School in London with boys ages 7-13 for one year (2020-2021) as a teaching assistant in sports (mainly football and cricket) as well as a form support for Year 5. I am first aid trained (first aid at work - 3 day course) and have been the designated first aider on school trips while at Westminster so have practical experience caring for children.
I have been enhanced DBS checked, I also have a clean driving licence (since 2019) and my own car. I have had some SEN training and have experience working with autistic children, I am also neurodivergent and have a good understanding of how best to adapt care to the child's needs. I have previously worked in food service and I am a good cook, I am also experienced at cooking vegetarian and coping with complex allergies. I am fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and the flu (including regular booster dose).

- BA (Hons) in Fine Art - 1st

My Availability
I am looking for somewhere in between full-time and part-time work. The minimum would be 20 hours a week and a maximum of 35 hours a week.
