About Me
My name is Sam. I am a "young at heart" 53 year old lady who has over 17 years experience of working in local primary schools as a teaching assistant. I have two children aged 17 and 22 and we live in Burwell. I am passionate about giving children the best care possible and over the years have looked after some very special children aged between 1 and 11. I am particularly experienced with children who have behavioural issues or are on the Autistic spectrum.
Since leaving my school role in December 2021, I have been caring for children in their own homes, which is a new exciting role that I absolutely love. I have mainly worked with bilingual families, developing their little one's speech and understanding of the English language, which has been encouraged through lots of interactive play, singing, reading and outdoor activities. I am very organised and approachable. I adore teaching arts and crafts and love sharing the experience of reading books together!
Recently, I have had the pleasure of tutoring Chinese primary school children in their own homes, both online and in person.
