My Experience
My background in early years equips me with a solid understanding of the development of each age range and effective communication strategies. I have previously worked in a Day Nursery working with children aged 3 months to 5 years old where I worked with each age group. I also have experience being a private nanny for two little boys aged 5 and 7 where my roles included completing daily household jobs; Cooking dinner, washing clothes, making sure their areas are clean, as well as getting the boys to school and fulfilling their day to day needs. The variation is something I have thoroughly enjoyed.
This has resulted in being able to carry out assessments of each child’s personal developments and tracking their milestones. Not only this, I have also furthered my knowledge in communication by learning makaton to communicate with young children, specializing with children between the ages of 3 months to 18 months but expanding through to children aged 4 to 5. I am always trying to learn and have completed multiple skill courses verified by CPD. I have completed courses based on Children’s mental health, Safeguarding children (level 2) and GDPR in Early Years as well as others.
