About Me
I am a 21 year old, fully qualified teacher (who has an enhanced DBS and is part of the update service) currently working in a nursery caring for children 6 months - 5 years although I have had experience teaching and caring for children 6 months to 11 years old during my teacher training and my previous jobs at different schools. I have two autistic brothers and have experience caring for those with additional needs including autism, hearing impaired, physical needs and learning disabilities.
My Experience
During my teacher training and supply work at schools, I have had experience working with children aged 2-11 and during this time have also cared for children with special educational needs as well as additional needs. I am currently working at a nursery where I am gaining experience for caring and nurturing children from the ages of 6 months and above. I have spent a little time in special educational needs schools for children with emotional, social and physical needs of different severity. I also have two autistic brothers so have had a lot of personal experience working with those with autism in addition to caring for children in schools with autism and conditions similar.
My Qualifications
I have a BA(hons) degree in Primary teaching with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) as well as qualifications in safeguarding, British sign language, keeping children safe in education, Level 2 certificate in principles of working with those with learning disabilities, Equality, diversity and inclusion, certificate in helping learners with Autism, Asperger's and ADHD and I am currently finishing a level 2 in 'Understanding Autism'.
My Availability
I usually work 8-6 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday but have availability every other day.
