Hello, my name is Celie, I am French and live in London.
I've been doing an MA part-time (museum studies and collections management) for the last 2years, while being an Au Pair for a great family :)
Now the kids have grown up, and I've finally finished my MA.
I currently work part-time as an assistant librarian (we also do crafts with children on Saturdays, it's great!), so if you sometimes need a babysitter, I'd be happy to help!
I'm warm and calm, and also know how to be firm if needed. I enjoy doing activities with the kids, adapted to their age and interests. There is always something to do (parks and playgrounds, music, museums, board games, crafts, imaginative play, baking a cake, reading stories,...).
My Experience
In the U.K.:
I often babysit two siblings (16months old and ~2,5 year-old kids), I started when the youngest was 6 months), either during the day or evening.
I was an Au pair in London alongside my studies for 3 years, I started in December 2020 and worked for 2 families (children: 9 and 11 years old).
In France:
- I've been an after-school babysitter in Paris for children aged 6 to 13 for several years.
- I babysat my 3-year-old goddaughter for a week while her parents worked. We went to the beach, to the park, played in the garden, danced,... I made sure to follow her usual schedule for nap, lunch, and shower.
- I babysat a 2,5-year-old little boy for several days in Paris, we went to the children's theatre, the Cité des sciences (the kids science part) and to the parc and playground. We would pick up his 4-year-old brother later in the afternoon. I took care of showers and dinner until the parents arrived.
My Qualifications
I passed a DBS check for my work as an assistant librarian.
I've studied Art History at the Sorbonne.
I just finished my MA in Museum Studies in London.
I speak French and English.
I've done a first aid class as part of my civic service in France in 2018.
My Availability
I'm on holiday in France, I'll be available again from the 7th of January 2024.
