About Me
Hi, I’m an OFSTED registered childminder in Normanton and care for children from birth in my own home environment. I am a member of Childcare.co.uk and I’m fully insured.
I have 2 fully grown daughters of my own and 1 granddaughter who is 4 years old. My goal is to provide a fun and homely setting for the children in my care. I’m fully flexible to parents needs whether they need a full time place, cover for shift work or evenings and weekends, should availability allow. My Experience
I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for 23 years, where I have cared for children from birth into early adulthood. I have experience looking after children with additional needs such as Downs Syndrome, Autism and Cystic Fibrosis. For 11 of these years I was a foster carer for children from the ages of 1 to 18, but currently building my childminding business back up to full-time so I have vacancies for children of all ages.
My goal is to provide a home away from home for the children I look after, whilst helping them to develop socially, physically and emotionally. I have my own car and love nothing more than taking the children in my care out for days, from baby and toddler groups, to the local park, to the zoo.
I’m happy to provide references from the parents of children I currently look after and have looked after in the past.

Paediatric first aid training
Safeguarding training
Food hygiene
Plus countless other workshops and courses that I’ve attended over the years as a childminder and foster carer.
My Availability
I have availability for children of all ages before, during and after school.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My hourly rates start at £4. These will vary for long evenings and weekends. Please let me know if these are needed and I can work with you to come to a suitable arrangement.

My daughter started going to Christine's when she was 14 months old. She's now nearly 11 and still looks forward to her time with Christine!!
I found choosing a childcare provider very difficult as my daughter has Cystic Fibrosis - meaning she has to have lots of different medications and there are some significant environmental risks-such as ponds, sand pits, straw or hay. Christine really took the time to understand my daughter and her additional needs, managing her condition better than we do at times! Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Christine provides a varied range of activities, both at home (crafts, baking, role play) and with trips out. While she has her own clear rules and boundaries, she's very collaborative with parents and supports/reinforces anything you're working on at home.
Christine is very close with her two grown-up daughters and her granddaughter - all three are a credit to her. She extends this welcoming family to include all the children in her care, and my daughter definitely views it as her second home.
Christine is simply a brilliant mum, and she extends just the same amount of heart, along her years of childcare experience, to looking after all the children in her care.

Christine has had our son for the last 7 years and I wouldn’t let him go anywhere else.
She’s kind, caring trustworthy and made him feel like a part of her family since he was 4 month old.
They go on various days out to soft play, playgroups and trips out for the day.
Christine offers a variety of activities for all children no matter how young or old they are.
She’s flexible with hours around work and nothing is ever too much to ask.
Her daughters are fantastic too and he has a close bond with her granddaughter.
It’s home from home for our son.
He always comes home happy. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
