About Me
My husband Simon and I are both registered childminders and qualified nursery nurses, with over 35 years of experience between us.
We wanted to bring the skills we’ve acquired over the years to provide quality care to a small group of children in a home environment. Our dream was always to own our own childcare setting one day and the Burrow is the culmination of that dream.
We feel that good nutrition is really important for little ones, and provide healthy home cooked food for all the children in our care. This is included within the day rate.
Children help prepare food where safe and appropriate, to help encourage a healthy mindset towards food. We love engaging in all kinds of crafts, arts and baking and growing to help the children develop in all areas of the EYFS.
The Burrow boasts a lovely dedicated outside space with both grass area and safety underlaid AstroTurf for the very wet weather.
We have two dedicated sleep rooms each with video monitors. One with cots for the younger children and the other with sleep mats.

My Experience
I've been working in the early years sector for over 20 years after studying childcare at school and college. I've worked in and am very confident with all ages, but specilised in the under twos for a large part of my career.
Simon has been working in the early years sector for over 15 years and qualified while working. Simon is confident with all ages but specialises in over twos and school readiness for pre-school children.
We also have our own 6 year old daughter.
My Qualifications
B-Tec National Diploma Childhood Studies, NVQ Level 3 Early years, First Aid certified, DSL trained & food handling certified. A list of further certificates completed is available on request.

My Availability
Please message about availability. We are accepting all funding.
We are offering full days Monday-Friday.
Regular hours 8:00am-5:30pm. We also offer an early drop from 7:30am for an additional fee. Please note that we only offer full days.
We are registered for weekend and overnight care, but this will not be something we will offer on a regular basis as we have our own 6 year old. We don’t offer half days. Spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis and the waiting list is managed at our discretion.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.65 per hour
A full day 8:00 am-5:30 pm is charged at £50 per day
Early start from 7:30 am at an additional charged of £5.15 per session
