Early Years Education professional with over 20 years experience looking for short-term childcare roles and babysitting. I have extensive experience with children from newborn to teens. I am a good communicator, creative and confident - especially evident when working with young children.

My Experience
During the course of the last 25 years I have worked in many roles in- and adjacent to Early Years Education.
My journey started in the classroom working with nursery and Key Stage 1. Preferring a more hands on 1-1 approach, I moved into private childcare, eventually setting up my own Childminding business after my children were born.
I have always believed in the value of unrelenting curiosity as a driver behind learning. I therefore aimed to provide children with fun, adventurous and even mind-blowing experiences that would captivate their attention and propel their desire to investigate and learn.
Having always been keenly interested in education I joined an EdTech startup in 2015. Over the next 7 years I worked with passionate and ambitious teams to educate both parents and children in the advantages (and urgency) of an early education in computing literacy. Our unique, creative and fun approach to programming has seen the company grow into the leading provider of a coding education for young & primary children in the UK.
Recently I have turned my attention to working with children with Special Educational Needs. I have worked in formal and informal settings, first and foremost finding ways to earn the trust and collaboration of the children.
It has been a privilege to be let into their unique worlds and help them develop confidence in their social, emotional and cognitive skills.
