My Summary

My Experience

During my time as a Play Scheme Supervisor, I had the responsibility of making sure the children within the setting were supervised at all times and had activities to keep them entertained. While doing this we took part in some adult LED activities such as cooking and trips outside of the venue; this meant I and other members of staff had to work together to ensure children were able to take part and enjoy themselves doing these activities by making sure the correct paperwork was complete.

While working at a private nursery a few of my key responsibilities were to maintain a clean, tidy and child friendly environment, ensuring all messages about nutritional and additional needs were met throughout the day, coordinating activities, updating parents/careers on their child’s development through parent’s evenings and yearly reports and completing all the relevant paper work. During this time frame I have learnt to adapt an activity correctly for children of all ages and abilities while still allowing them to have the opportunity to reach the final goal.
Within this role I have also had the opportunity to have been trained to become PIC {person in charge}. This means I would be at the door welcoming on pick up and drop off, by doing this role it has allowed me to improve and adapt on my time keeping skills, communication skills and organization skills.

Prevention Training – July 2021
Safeguarding of Children Advanced – November 2020
Pediatric First Aid – December 2020 Child Care & Education; Level 3 - B Grade English, Welsh, Science & I.T at Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari - Achieved all at GCSE level.
