Cat looked after my two eldest sons from 6 months old until they started school/preschool aged 4 and 3. Leaving your baby to return to work can be really emotionally challenging, but Cat helped make this transition so much easier by providing such a warm and welcoming environment as well as keeping me up to date with what the boys were up to.
Over the years the boys were with Cat, I watched them grow and learn and become a part of her family. She really does care about the children she child-minds and takes time to make sure they are happy and settled as well as taking them to regular groups and outings with other childminders.
My boys still often talk about Cat and her family and the memories they have of being with her.
I would highly recommend Cat to anyone who is looking for childcare.
My daughter has been in Cat’s care since she was 8 months old. Leaving your first child, to return to work, is a daunting prospect but Cat and her family home gave the warm and friendly environment I wanted. My daughter settled really quickly with Cat’s warm and mothering personality. Now 2 and half, I have seen my daughter grow and develop while in Cat’s care. With cat looking after a mix of ages, alongside attending toddler groups, my daughter has got the regular stimulation she needs.
Cat also takes her role seriously and continuously ensures she is meeting OFSTED regulations.
While our circumstances have changed and our daughter is no longer in her care, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her.
Cat has picked my daughter up after school since year R. Her house is cosy and inviting, as well as a lovely area for the children which is full of educational & developmental toys, games, dress up, and a relaxing space. Cat will take the children out in the day time on walks, to parks, to cinema, to theme parks, bowling etc,, and local activity and craft events. I have always had some beautiful hand made birthday, Xmas, mothers day goodies that she spends time helping and teaching all the children to make.
Cat is very strict about ensuring she continuously meets OFSTED regulations.
As a bonus she also reminds me about school holiday dates, school discos, dress down day, parents evening etc.. so if you're working full time and have a brain like a sieve this is a priceless benefit (and if you're new to school, then you WILL NEED THIS - trust me)
I am SO glad I found Cat for Year R, and would recommend her to anyone. My daughter will stay with her the whole of primary education.
Cat has looked after my son for three and a half years now since he started at Great Binfields Primary. She is warm, friendly and caring and my son adores her.
He struggled much more than I had expected when he started school and had to move from a previous childminder. Cat was really supportive and helped him settle quickly into his new routine.
On the holidays there is a good mix of days out and relaxing days at Cats home. She has a mix of ages from babies to primary school age and I know many in the setting have been there longer than us! I would happily recommend Cat to any other parents looking for a childminder.
