My Requirements

Hello,

I'm looking for someone to help me with my 8 yo son and 5 yo daughter after school. I am currently juggling childcare with studying for a degree course and freelance work from home, so can be flexible about availability and timings – I just need an extra pair of hands on the occasional afternoon to help lighten the load and give me some more hours in the day to get everything done.

We live in Earlsfield and would love to find someone local to help pick the children up from school, take them to activities in the area, oversee homework, give snacks, prepare and serve their evening meal. If you are open to other household tasks such as ironing and cleaning that would be amazing, but not essential.

For us the most important thing is a strong connection as you will be part of our household and family life! It's worth saying here that my son has an autism diagnosis, with some social and sensory differences and challenges in speech & language. He is currently in Year 3 at a local mainstream primary school and has so far managed to get by with minimal additional support under "Ordinarily Available Provision". We are in the process of applying for an EHCP for him to get him more support at school. I wanted to flag this up front, as someone with experience of the autistic spectrum would be ideal. My son is generally affectionate and well-behaved but can have a tendency for rigid, repetitive behaviours and narrow interests. He needs extra support/patience when it comes to things like following instructions, understanding what people mean, transitioning from one activity to another, managing emotions, staying regulated.

My daughter is essentially delightful: thoughtful, kind, bright, easy-going, sweet-natured.
