About Me
Hello, my name is Charlotte & I’m 21 years old! I am based in Wimborne but always happy to travel locally. I proudly an Ofsted registered nanny, hold a level 3 qualification in childcare, full & clean DBS (which is on the update service) qualified in paediatrics first aid & I obtain many more further training certificates!
I currently work as a nanny working with an agency to provide a wide range of services to families! My recent family required a temporary position that had many different shifts such as night work, full days, collecting the children from school! I’m still in contact with this family as have built such a wonderful relationship!
I have worked in a nursery in the baby room for over 2 years & this is where I found my love for working in the childcare sector! The babies were between 3 months to 16 months - so I do believe I am well experienced with young ages. I then moved into pre school (3 - 5 years old) and loved interacting with the children to develop their knowledge further and I would do this by learn in through play but also having set activities in place to not only keep them focused but most importantly based around the curriculum!
I am a bubbly, trustworthy, reliable, hard-working individual who has a true passion and enthusiasm for working with children! I ultimately enjoy helping children develop so as they can grow to achieve their milestones!
I understand the importance of creating a happy, safe and stimulating environment for a young child in their early years, having previous experience in nursery environments. I am able to happily meet new people, participate in groups as my previous roles will demonstrate.
I believe my favourite personality trait is feeling comfortable within myself to bring out my inner child with singing and dancing to connect with children on their level building an important relation so the children feels confident & safe when in my presence. The best kind of parties are the dance parties.
I am the proud owner of my first home that is share with my long term partner & miniature cockapoo. I love going on dog walks and finding new areas to explore. I drive a Range Rover Evoque that is very comfortable & reliable. I hold a full & clean driving license.
I always like to bring my own activities and crafts that I feel are age appropriate or that they may not have experienced before!
I enjoy going on day trips (approved by the parents) and going on nature walks!

My Experience
I am currently a nanny with a highly recommended agency in the local area! I have met & worked with an array of families with different requirements & backgrounds. I believe I have found my pure passion with nannying as I love the freedom to be able to tailor the day to the children’s needs (such as I notice they have a lot of built up energy or struggling to focus with the parents permission to go out for a walk/ day trip or an activity based on the child’s interests) I have worked many different shifts ranging from nights to early in the morning (5am!!!) but always happy to help where I can! I create wonderful & exciting meals for the children to enjoy as I know from experience that eating vegetables isn’t always a child’s favourite thing so I try to hid it within the food such as a sauce or cutting the fruit/vegetables into exciting shapes to make it more appealing!
Nursery Practitioner –I joined my previous nursery initially in the baby unit and later became a toddler group team member. Within the baby unit it was important to allow babies to explore & discover through play. I was responsible for key children, undertaking observations & progress reviews.
I loved to plan and create activities, for babies, for example, ensuring they could touch/feel different materials and for toddlers those involving craft. Planning activities involved ensuring inclusion of all children especially those individuals with medical or learning difficulties. I greeted & met daily with parents (from all professions) to update them on their child’s progress. To ensure a child’s information was kept up to date, throughout the day I uploaded details/progress on the computer system for both management and parents to view. Each day involved keeping to schedules to make certain the day ran smoothly and all aspects of care and parent expectations were met. I worked within a small team of adults in the busy, often hectic, unit where I was flexible in tasks undertaken to meet the specific day’s needs of the children attending. With some situations as a team we had to have a sense of humour but remained professional at all times as you can be dealing with an ill child one moment to being covered in paint the next, but my motto is anything to keep the children happy and safe. I adapt my approach and solve situations as they happen with the children. In the pre-school I often took circle time at the start of the day, planned and took activities which incorporated basic writing and numeracy skills.
Girl Guiding Organisation, attending a weekly ‘Rainbows’ meeting (2 hours) helping with planning and responsible for organising & leading activities for the girls aged 4-7 years old. There were approximately 20 girls in the group.

I hold a BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Children’s Play, Learning and Development (Early Years Educator).

My Availability
I currently work for a family on Monday through to Wednesday during the day, although I am available for evening shifts or early mornings on these days!
I do have availability the rest of the week that I’m happy to discuss if you have any specific dates in my mind please message me to ensure I have the date available!
