About Me
My husband and I have a joyful and spunky 21-month-old daughter Aveline, who's seeking a nanny starting in September. Aveline loves dancing and swimming and meeting new people. And she is expecting a sibling in February 2025! So we're looking for a full-time nanny but please note that the role will switch from primarily toddler care to primarily newborn care in February, at which point we'll send Aveline to nursery.
I (Alex, the mom) am an American author, and work from home. My husband (Chris) is a British management consultant and we have a sweet-tempered golden retriever dog named Macallan - pictured in our profile.
My Requirements
We'd love someone with both newborn and toddler experience, but this is not a necessity. Our main goal is to ensure our children are cared for by a stable, nurturing, engaging nanny. As a writer, I'd particularly love someone who can bring some creative energy to the role!
Aveline is a very engaging, outgoing kid, so we have her in a few of classes a week (swimming, ballet, and music/French), which we'd love you to take her to. Otherwise, we're quite open to any activities you think would be fun and engaging. We're seeking someone proactive who's comfortable taking her out and about, as she loves to explore. That said, we have plenty of books and toys for rainy days.
There are some light housekeeping duties involved, namely laundry and keeping the the play area and kids' bedrooms tidy. (We have a cleaner who comes weekly for deep cleans).
We would prefer someone who has their own car. As for hours, we would ideally like someone from 7:30 am - 3:30 Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 - 10:30 on Fridays. That said, we're happy to negotiate this. And for context, we're based in New Town/Stockbridge. Any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
