About Me
I am a 26 year old with over 6 years of experience working in a private nursery setting with ages 6 weeks to 11 years old. I was based primarily between ages 0-4 but also ran the holiday clubs for 4-11 year old children.
Childcare has always been my passion, I went into childcare with the dream of being a nanny, the idea of being able to nurture, help to holistically develop children through play from the comfort of their own homes, working closely with their parent/s to ensure happy, loved, imaginative, emotionally secure and creative children builds an excitement in me. I am very hands on and love to get involved in everyday with children. I am avaliable for full time live in or live out positions.
My Experience
I worked with 6 week old babies all the way up to 11 year old pre teenagers in a private nursery. During the term times I would work with the 4 and below children. I have 3 years experience with under 2.5 year old and 3 years experience with 2.5-4. I have supported children transitioning into 'big school'. I have been the key worker for the full range of 0-4 year olds and have extensive knowledge of developmental milestones.
I planned and prepared activities for the individual childs development stages and needs, ensuring these were diverse, fun, engaging and wherever possible sensory. I also ran the holiday clubs in which I would also plan engaging activities for the time spent together. I like children to learn from nature and their environment also so spent a lot of time exploring outdoors and going on trips. Even simple things like going to the supermarket is a huge opportunity to teach children about many different things.
