About Me
CURRENT VACANCIES
Hello, I am an Ofsted registered Childminder, graded Outstanding since 2011. I have friendly welcoming setting where I am able to tailor care to meet the individual needs of each family.
I live in a spacious house with child friendly garden and a very well resourced playroom. We live within easy walking distance of a country park and woodlands visited regularly by the children and I for walks, exploring and picnics.
I have been working as a Childminder for many years previously working as a Preschool leader and Nursery Nurse in a day nursery and reception class.
I offer a happy, secure and stimulating home based setting where little people are free to develop there personalities in a supportive and encouraging environment whilst following the Early Years curriculum. Planned activities, along with child led play provide opportunity for children to develop there skills and build strong friendships, many of which endure through to school. A strong emphasis on ‘school readiness’ for 3 and 4 year olds ensures that children are prepared with the skills to build on when they move up.

Louise has had our little girl from when she was 15 months old. When I approached her, the first thing which stood out was how much she cared about the kids she cared for. This made us feel comfortable as we were in a new town and pretty much had zero support with any childcare. She has not only helped our daughter to grow up into the smart girl she is but, has also influenced her in becoming the well-mannered young lady that she is today. For us, good behaviour has been paramount from day one, which has been a collective effort from Louise and us. Louise is not only focused on the EYFS part of the progress of a child but, also on enhancing their practical knowledge of the world around us. Visits to parks, playgroups, farms, and activity areas to name a few. These are not skills which you can instill in a child by reading a book to them, it is only proper exposure which gives them confidence and the ability to understand the practicalities of dealing with different situations, which Louise has done excellently. Louise's setup is simple yet, very practical, and efficient. Louise has always helped us out in times of emergencies and has always been accomodating when we have been late being stuck at work. In simple words, we couldn't have asked for a better childminder for our little girl all through her younger years. Our little girl absolutely adores Louise and even now talks about the lovely memories she has captured during her time spent with Louise. Thank you, Louise.
Louise has been more than a childminder, she is like our family.. she loves all her children like her own and our children loves her to bits. Our son has been going to Louise since he was a baby and now he is 7 and in school. After my daughter was born she went to Louise before she was 6 months old, as I know she will get all the care and attentions from someone who I can truly trust.
We have been so lucky and blessed to have found Louise, she has given us so much support and love throughout the years.
She provides educational needs and support for each individual child, our son was slow with his speech and Louise has helped him tremendous now he will talk and talk and talk.
Louise provide us with a daily update on how are children are doing, what they have learnt and you can see how much they have progress and complete tasks by themselves all thanks to Louise's hard work.
Children are never bored under Louise's care as they get to go out to country parks, cinemas, play dates, play groups and they do varies of different activities and have learnt so much about over cultures and celebrations.
She also provides a safe, friendly and clean surroundings for her children in her home.
Louise has looked after our children for the past 6 years. Our eldest daughter joined her at 11 months until she went to school and her younger sister from 1 - 4 years. We always felt the girls were in safe hands when with Louise and nothing was too much trouble. It was always a personal service to support what we needed as a family and the girls excelled. Not only did they thrive academically, they learnt valuable life skills for school, like patience and skills to enhance their independence like collecting and doing their own shoes etc. We also benefitted from what they were taught by Louise, for example they knew to hold onto the buggy when walking for safety. This isn't something we taught them, but helped us when out with the girls. Most importantly they enjoyed their time and being with a smaller group of children than a nursery environment. Would highly recommend.
Louise has been our daughter’s childminder since she was 5 months old. We chose to opt for a childminder rather a nursery because she was so young, and we wanted her be in a home from home setting. We looked at a number of childminders but Louise stood out from the crowd. My daughter now 10years old still opts to go to Louise’s in holidays. We have known her - where children have fallen behind at school - to set up and work with them to help them to achieve more. Her emphasis on preparing children to be ready for school is invaluable. Play is structured to enable learning whilst having fun. Activities are varied and creative. There is no onesize fits all - her approach is individual to a child's needs and abilities. We couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She has been wonderful to us and is well recognised locally as a trainer / supporter of other childminders
