This is a relaxed and busy household who are looking for someone who is able to sense what is needed, and do things without being asked, working alongside the Mum to help manage the household. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, flexible, reliable and discreet, able to work autonomously and professionally. Ideally, the family are looking for someone with a driving licence (the family can provide access to a car).

Hours and pay: The family are keen to find a pattern that is mutually beneficial, and looking for the equivalent of three-full days per week (e.g. 5 mornings, 3 full days), and would be flexible for the right candidate and offer competitive pay.

Childcare Duties: The main contact will be with the 12 year old child who has additional needs (and is home-schooled by tutors), and the Mum who is at home full time. Interacting confidently and compassionately with the 12-year old child will be an important element of the role. The candidate would need to be the responsible adult in the house if Mum went out, and undertake activities such as cooking, chatting, watching television etc on occasion. Knowing when to get involved and when to step back will be essential to making this role work. During school holidays the ideal candidate would be happy to mix household duties with occasionally overseeing the other children, aged 10 and 7.

Housekeeping Duties: The family has cleaners who undertake a full clean once a week. The candidate will not need to deep clean regularly; this role is more about working as a team with the mum, undertaking daily tasks including tidying the kitchen, doing end-to-end laundry, and specific tasks to keep the house ordered such as tidying the pantry, cleaning out the fridges, sorting the linen cupboard etc. The family are looking for someone who will be happy to do what needs to be done throughout the week, such as food shopping, picking flowers from the garden, returning parcels, feeding the cats and doing the school run etc.

Cooking Duties: Light cooking duties, preps, chopping veg, making healthy snacks, one evening meal + batch-cook for the freezer etc.

Pet Care Duties: 1 Dog and 3 Cats - Feeding cats
