My Experience
I've been living in England for more then 10 years. At first, I worked at a childminding as an assistant. I had to take care of 8 children from different ages, most of them toddlers. At my most recent job, I worked as a full time nanny, I looked after two adorable children aged 3 and 8. Recently I'm doing some babysitting, I'm looking after an 4 years old girl.

This is to confirm that Barbara has looked after our children, who are 6 and 3 years old, for a period of nine months.
I have no hesitation in giving Barbara an excellent reference. The children both really love her, and she has proved to be extremely responsible, reliable and flexible. I particularly like the fact that she has really listened to how we want them to be looked after, and that she welcomes constructive feedback.
During the time that she has been with us, Barbara has made a huge effort to find ways of both entertaining and stimulating the children. She has really taken the time to get to know them as individuals and to think of things that they will enjoy. As they both love arts and crafts she has spent a lot of time making things with them. She has also arranged playdates and imaginative days out for them, and has made sure that they get enough exercise every day.
Barbara is fun and affectionate with the children, and they are always pleased to see her. She is also sensible and can be firm in a kind, calm and clear way when required.
We will miss Barbara when our old nanny returns from maternity leave, and wish her all the best in the future.

Obviously it depends on how many children, their needs and their ages, however, I would be looking for an hourly rate around 13-15 pounds net.
