About Me

NO LONGER LOOKING. My name is Ellie, I am 29 years of age and I have a beautiful boy with additional needs, who is 3!

I am currently taking on babysits here and there, and am a senior team leader at a childrens centre in Biggleswade for autistic children and young people on alternate Saturdays, and am actively looking for a part time nanny role.

I am looking for baby sitting work - a regular family would be ideal.
My rates per hour are £16.

My Experience

I worked in a nursery - Busy Bees Mardley Hill Knebworth, for 3 years. I completed my NVQ and gained my experience working with children ages 0-5 years.

I became a nanny for a family friend who needed childcare for a year, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to gain my first years experience before starting with a family who I didn't know at all. The baby was 3 months old, and I worked full time, 9-5.
Duties included: cooking and preparing meals, bath time, baby groups, swimming lessons, taking the baby to appointments, PA, updating the mother with photos every day and general care. SOLE CHARGE.

I became a nanny for my second family who lived in Stotfold for 2 boys ages 2 years and 5 years, I stayed with this family for 2 and half years doing shift work. I stayed the nights, done weekends and week days. I had my own annex and became part of their family. Unfortunately I had to leave due to them no longer needing a nanny, however they were lovely and we remained to keep in touch.
Duties included: Activities at home, groups, homework, cooking there meals through out the day, bath time, bed time, school drop off and pick ups, weekend activities, ironing, making beds, washing the children's clothes and tidying there bedrooms, PA and general care. SOLE CHARGE.

I moved on to my third family who lived in Hitchin, 2 girls aged 3 years and 6 years, I worked flexible full time for a year and a half but then dropped to part time when I became pregnant. COVID 19 then happened and I became furloughed up until my maternity leave.
I then didn't want to return after taking a full years maternity leave due to wanting to spend as much time with my baby as possible, although the family were wonderful and I'd happily work for them in the future if ever needed.
Duties included: Tidying the children's bedrooms, washing there clothes, sorting there toy draws, school drop offs and pick ups, preparing meal times, making packed lunches, making sure school bags and homework was organised, bath times, bed times, potty training, occasional baby sitting in the evenings and general care - there activities were only ever at the weekends in which I majority of the time didn't work. SOLE CHARGE.

My fourth family was also in Hitchin, looking after a teenager aged 14 years and a girl aged 8 years. I only did the evenings 4pm - 8pm and was a NWOC role.
Monday - Thursday and do occasional over time on alternative weeks.
Duties include: School pick ups, making and preparing dinners, taking the teenager to football once an evening per week, activities for the girl in the holidays, making sure homework is complete, making sure school bags were sorted for the following day, bath time and bedtime. SOLE CHARGE.

My most current family I looked after there little girl in WGC for 8 months nanny sharing with my sister, who has now taken on my days. My reasons for sadly leaving was they needed more flexibility and I could not commit to this due to having my own little boy, as much as they were more than happy for me to bring him with me, my child's needs had changed over this period and it was to much of a journey and long day for my son to be tagging along, as kind as this was.
I left knowing I wasn't leaving them stuck, due to having my sister to fall onto the remaining days. I am very close with the family and still see the little girl and do occasional baby sits, the family are now very close with our family which is wonderful.

I am a nanny for a family in hitchin at present on a tuesday and thursday, and this is a commitment of long term - i am not looking for a new nanny position.

I am looking for BABYSITTING roles which i can do alongside my job - a regular baby sit would be ideal with a regular family.
Happy for parents to be in or out - this does not faze me.

I have known Ellie for a long time now. She has spent a lot of time caring for my two children who are currently 6 and 8 years old.

Ellie has cared for my children since babies and they absolutely love her. My youngest has additional needs which Ellie has accommodated to incredibly well, along side caring for my eldest - neither of my children miss out on what they need and what makes them happy.

Ellie is always proactive, creating fun fun activities indoors as well as going outside and exploring. My children are always incredibly well cared for and when with Ellie and she will always be my go to person.

I can’t recommend Ellie enough!
