About Me
Hey ,
so my name is Lauren, I have over 5 years experience in childcare from ages starting at 0-9+ my interest in childcare came from my mum as she ran a nursery at home as soon as I was old enough to understand and help I was straight into childcare. I have helped run playgroups and day care.
More about me , my family have two horses so in my spare time I am at the farm riding or mucking out :) I love spending quality time with my family and friends.
My Experience
I have experience as I said in my “about me” with being a childcare assistant helping prepare food and set up activities.
Overnight babysitter for a 4yr old girl with complex needs.
Parts of my role included
•Giving her the medication she needed on time each night
•Preparing meals taking into consideration of her allergies.
•Thinking ahead for activities we would do before bedtime instead of watching tv/tablet
•Making sure the house was clean for parent to come home too
•bedtime - shower / brush teeth.
P.A during the day time for a young girl age 10 with adhd , attachment issues and autism this was a great experience for me to gain lots of experience with special needs while helping me to develop and be able to think of activities on the spot as her concentration span was very low.
