My Summary

My Experience

At the moment I am a full-time nursery practitioner, but I am aspiring to become a primary school teacher. My position at the pre-school nursery involves keeping all children safe and secure, creating activities that aid their development and creating strong relationships with parents and staff. I believe honest and open communication is the key aspect of making sure that your child is cared for.

Previously, I worked in a special educational needs school as a teaching assistant where I was taught how to implement individual education, social, behavioural and personal care programmes for children with SEN. During that time I also had a part-time job as a personal assistant for Independent Lives. I found this role very rewarding because it meant that I was making a bigger impact on those individual children and giving them opportunities to explore the world outside of school and built their independence. Furthermore, I have completed a three-month job at a summer camp in Pennsylvania. There I provided supervision as a counsellor to a group of four to eight campers with SEN and continually worked together with the team to discuss strategies for motivating and inspiring our campers.

I am first aid trained and hold an enhanced DBS check. My aim is always to make sure your child is cared for and is feeling happy!

My Qualifications

Degree in Early Years and Education (2:1)

Hold certificates in - First Aid, Epilepsy awareness, administration of medication, child protection, and safeguarding.

My Availability

I am available to work some evenings after 6 and most weekends.

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
