Having worked with children and young people since I left college, I have had various roles within the early years, including room supervisor, deputy manager/manager, and therapy department assistant, all with different requirements and ones driven by having a child led approach focusing on the 'Curiosity approach'.
I live on The Avenue SO17 for reference and can do pick-ups and drop-offs to schools/nurseries. if required, I can look after the child/children after picking them up from school until 5 pm if you live close to me or 4.30 pm if its a little distance. My Experience
I am an experienced nursery practitioner specializing in children under five, adept in implementing the EYFS curriculum and ensuring seamless progression. I have also worked as a nursery deputy manager, where I successfully led the nursery in collaboration with the manager, providing mentorship to staff members. In the realm of SEMH, I am on maternity leave from my current work as a therapy assistant, where I work collaboratively with therapists to support children aged 7 to 16 with diverse SEN needs, including but not limited to, childhood trauma, autism, eating disorders, and self-harm.
Throughout all of my roles in my 10 years qualified, I always maintain the highest amount of care for children and strongly believe in the child led approach. In my opinion, children learn best outside in nature, so I like to allow them to explore and learn whilst in it.
